We craft custom pallet and skid solutions that are tailored to unique dimensions – from typical sizes up to 8ft in width and 20ft in length – and weight requirements to transport large items such as steel coils or turbine blades to ensure robust support and protection the entire way.

Below are the Lion Lumber skid and pallet product types.
Coil Skids
Coil skids provide the structural support required by heavier loads.
Lion Lumber’s consistent thickness on top boards prevents damage to products while consistent hardwood runner thickness prevents inventory from leaning. Also see blocking, dunnage, wedges, saddles, shims, and chocks.

Heat Treating
For international use, Lion heat-treats onsite to a minimum of 56°C (133°F) for a minimum of 30 minutes. All ISPM compliant pallets are marked as required by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC).

Cradle skids provide the structural support required by heavier loads and Lion Lumber’s experts will work with you to assure your product can be safely secured without damage in shipping.
Our support saddles and pipe supports are made of solid hardwood components and built or designed to your specifications. Also see blocking, dunnage, wedges, saddles, shims, and chocks.

Lion Lumber standard and custom Four-Way Pallets are made with parallel and perpendicular stringers and can be forklifted from any side.

Sheet skids provide a greater clearance between the floor and the load while also providing the structural support required by heavier loads. Lion Lumber’s consistent thickness on top boards prevents damage to products while consistent hardwood runner thickness prevents inventory from leaning. Also see blocking, dunnage, wedges, saddles, shims, and chocks.

Standard Pallets
Standard and Custom Stringer Pallets
Stringer pallets have a deck of standard spaced stringer boards on the top and the bottom. Lion stringer pallets come in standard sizes and are available with shipping decks made of hardwood, softwood, plywood, particle board, hardboard, oriented strand board, etc., based on your needs.

When ordering:
- Specify stringer board thickness and deck wood: hardwood, softwood, plywood, particle board, hardboard, oriented strand board, or other requirements
- Special hardware: Hinges, screws, bolts, or metal corners
